CARL GREEN Carl Krister Green, age 86 of Henderson, passed away May 12, 2013, in Boulder City. He was born in Chicago, March 18, 1927, to Karl Green and Hulda Palmquist Green. In March 1945, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged in July 1946 as a quartermaster third class. He was a past Commander of Square Post #232 American Legion in Chicago. He also was a proud member of the Masonic Fraternity for 57 years, being active in the Scottish Rite and Order of the Mystic Shrine. Carl was the first in his family to be born in the United States, he loved his parents Swedish heritage and served two terms as chairman of the Vahalla Lodge, Vasa Order of America. Carl married his wife, Jo-Anne Hower Green, Aug. 26, 1950. In addition to his wife, Jo-Ann, Carl is survived by his daughters, Dawn Green, Jan Habenicht and Patricia Vatthauer; granddaughter, Lauren Habenicht; and nephew, Jim Faust. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 10, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City.
