1934 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
DR. GLENNA RAMSAY Dr. Glenna Rose Muchow Ramsay passed away Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, after a sudden, brief and valiant fight with Leukemia. She was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Great Falls, Mont., to Violet Grace (nee von der Vor) Muchow and Glenn F. Muchow. She was raised in Boulder City, and was a proud alumni of Boulder City High School, class of 1956. Glenna dedicated her professional career to education as a teacher, counselor and ultimately as principal of Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif. She obtained her bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University, her masters degree from Pepperdine University and her doctorate from the University of Southern California. Glenna's greatest pleasure came from time with her grandchildren and travel with family and friends. She believed "we are in this life to help each other through it," and she lived that motto. She was a loving and ever-present mentor to her family and many friends in social, civic, church and political organizations. Her faith, love and kindness made all of us feel a little more significant in this life. Glenna was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dean E. Ramsay (2006). Glenna is survived by her four children and their spouses, Janet Marie Ramsay Larson (Scott Larson), James Dean Ramsay, Mark Harold Tucker (Teresa Marcus-Tucker) and Stephanie Ann Tucker Barker (David Barker); seven grandchildren, Ryan and Holly Tucker, Erika and James Larson, Kaitlin and Julia Barker, and Benjamin Ramsay; and one great-grandson, Jackson L. Tucker. Celebration of life service will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at the Boulder Creek Golf Club Pavilion, 1501 Veterans Memorial Drive, in Boulder City. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made in Glenna's name to St. Jude's Ranch for Children, Boulder City, or to SpreadTheWordNevada.org
