1924 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
JERRY MORLEY Jerry H. Morley, age 92, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 5, 2016. Jerry was born March 26, 1924, in Price, Utah, to Minnie Marie and Claude K. Morley. Jerry and his wife, Clara, lived their entire married life in Boulder City. He was active in the LDS church, where he held many positions. He was also a Las Vegas Temple ordinance worker. Performing as a tenor with the Las Vegas Barbershop Quartet was a very fun time for him and his wife, as they traveled all over the United States. Jerry, always a hard worker, with Paul by his side, loved the challenge of building many beautiful rock and stone fireplaces and block walls throughout Boulder City. He also built monuments out of local stone honoring the workers of Hoover Dam. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert and Calvin; and a granddaughter, Minnie Marie Wood. He is survived by his wife, Clara, of 72 years; sons, Jerry (Geri), Paul and Robert (Tori); daughters, Susan Wood (Gil) and Christine Mausser; and he was blessed with 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Gracie Leigh. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beehive House, 1000 Greenway Drive, Henderson.
