1956 - 2016 Obituary Condolences
SALLY HOLT Sally Anne Holt, 60, of Boulder City, passed away Oct. 17, 2016, after battling an illness for many years. Sally was born July 26, 1956, in Kingman, Ariz., to Norris and Bonnie Gaylor. At the age of five, the family moved to southern Nevada, making Boulder City their home. Sally was a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas earning a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She worked as a technical writer for the Bureau of Reclamation, a teacher in the Clark County School District and as a musician. Her passions were music and writing. She was a prolific reader and enjoyed writing romance stories. Her writing works have been published in both newspaper and national magazines. In music, she wrote and performed with many local musicians and received numerous awards for her writing and creative abilities. She loved spending the summers and outdoors with her husband in Kanab, Utah, where they enjoyed biking, hiking, camping and working on restoring their summer home. Sally will be remembered for her kindness and a smile that everyone noticed. In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her brothers. Thomas and Danny Gaylor. She is survived by her husband, Jason Holt; son, Justin Holt; sister, Cindy (nee Gaylor) Thomas; nephew, Shane Gaylor; and nieces Tawni and Chelsi Johnston. No services are scheduled.
