DAVID SWENINGSEN David Keith Sweningsen, 66, beloved son, brother and uncle, of Boulder City, passed away June 9, 2013, in Las Vegas. Dave was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Long Beach, Calif., to Charles and Jean Goddard Sweningsen. He graduated in 1964 from La Habra High School and was most proud to be a Bruin graduate of UCLA in 1969. Immediately following, Dave served honorably in the U.S. Army. Dave pitched throughout high school and also in the Senior Little League Baseball World Series in Williamsport, Pa., September 1962. He was a staunch L.A. Dodgers and L.A. Lakers fan. He enjoyed fishing and boating, especially with his father. Dave was a loving caregiver to his mother and father for the last 12 years in Boulder City. Dave had a passion for politics and enjoyed talking with others about their views. He enjoyed the company of his many nieces and nephews, also his great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Sweningsen. He is survived by his father, Charles Sweningsen of Boulder City; a brother, Christian Sweningsen of New York; a sister, Jill (Joe) Hardy of Boulder City; and many nephews and nieces.
