Bob hired me in 1975 to work in Phoenix after he called me and I initially turned him down. The very next day I was working in Pennsylvania trying to take survey notes during a sleet storm. I walked to a pay phone during my lunch break called Bob back and begged him for the job. Thank God he said yes! That began my 34 year career with Reclamation. Thank you Bob! You changed my life for the better. Rest in peace old friend.

I got my start at the Bureau of Reclamation under the tutelage of Bob Hanson. He was the Personnel Officer at Grand Coulee Dam at the time and taught me the ropes. Besides being a good teacher Bob was a fine man and was liked by many. He was a hard worker and will be missed by coworkers as well as friends and family.
