RICHARD ROPER Richard Leland Roper, Sr., 79, of Boulder City, went home to his Heavenly Father Saturday, November 17, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends. Richard was the youngest of three children born to Euva and Wally Roper, Sr. and raised in Boulder City. Graduate of Boulder City High School in 1957 with collegiate studies at ASU, U.S. Army Veteran followed by a career in Lighting with IATSE, Local 720. Richard is survived by his wife, of 27 years, Cathy; his sister, Pat and (Grant) Couch, sister-in-law, Shirley Roper; his son, Scot and (Carina) Roper, Lisa and (Gordie) Ruiz; his beloved grandchildren, Scot II and (Lauren), Storm, Talia and Sophia; along with his numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be at 11:20 a.m., Monday, Dec. 17, at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veterans Memorial Dr., Boulder City, NV 89005. In lieu of Flowers, the family has requested donations to be made in honor of Richard to Michaels Angel Paws or Goldens Without Borders. Family and friends can sign an online memorial guestbook at
