Grant Hudlow Obituary
GRANT HUDLOW Grant Hudlow, 82 of San Marcos, CA passed away Sunday, October 15 after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Boulder City and was a resident for many years. He is now in heaven with his mother Roberta, father Lloyd, and sister Joanne. He was a Caltech Chemical Engineer who earned his degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Grant joined the U.S. Army as an Officer and served our country. He worked on the atomic bomb launched from the 8" howitzer; the development of numerous early silicon chips manufactured by Fairchild Semiconductor; and he developed the chemical process to convert household waste into petrochemicals. Grant's legacy will be carried on by his sons Tharkun and Gandalf; and his grandson, Stryder. Always an entrepreneurial engineer, Grant will be remembered by his friends and family as a constant source of encouragement to innovate and change the world. Grant was a constant champion of people; coupled with a wonderful sense of humor. He touched us all and lifted us up any time we had the honor of being with him. The internment will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 27, at Miramar National Cemetery 5795 Nobel Drive, San Diego. Immediately following there will be a celebration of Grant's life at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine 3777 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego. Grant's son, Gandalf can be reached at 760-575-4765.
