JACKIE KASSON Obituary
JACKIE LEE KASSON Jackie Lee Kasson, was born November 14, 1927, to William F. and Lillie Bell Parker in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She passed away October 1, in Boulder City. She was married for 64 years to the love of her life, Glendon F. Kasson, who predeceased her in 2010. Jackie was a loving and dedicated mother to her three children, Nancy Locke Loudin, Melanie Hodges and Bruce Kasson. As a homemaker and mother, she spent many hours watching over their many activities while growing up. She was a very social person and loved hosting her extended family around the pool or preparing delicious meals to enjoy at beach gatherings or camping at the lake. After her husband Glen's retirement in 1981, they moved from the Los Angeles area to Boulder City. Together they participated in serving the Boulder City community by joining Grace Community Church, volunteering at Lend-A-Hand and Boulder City Emergency Aid. She supported education for women through her 25+ year membership in P.E.O. Chapter K. Many benefitted from her green thumb as she headed up the plant department at Grace Church Country Store for many years. She loved experiencing life to its fullest. As a married couple Jackie and Glen traveled extensively throughout the world. Her weekly activities almost always included her passion, bridge, often twice a week. Surely, she is ready to join her partner, Glen for a game of duplicate in bridge heaven. She is survived by her three children; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Celebration of Life for Jackie will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 24, at Grace Community Church, 1150 Wyoming Street, Boulder City, NV 89005. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to P.E.O Chapter K Foundation and mailed to 105 Stone Canyon Road, Boulder City, NV 89005.
