JOYCE LASKO After a fulfilling life of 81 years, Joyce Newman Lasko passed away peacefully at her home in Boulder City, October 4, 2018. She is now with family and friends who have gone before her. She was born March 14, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. Her parents were Marchant Manning Newman and Edna Belle Irving. Joyce grew up in Ogden, Utah and graduated from Ogden High School in 1955. She attended Weber State College and Utah State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in education. She loved reading books and teaching. Joyce taught fourth grade at Andrew J. Mitchell Elementary School in Boulder City for 20 years before retirement. Joyce was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was married to Fred Lasko, also from Ogden, in the Logan, Utah Temple, September 12, 1958. Joyce and Fred just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. She is survived by her husband, Fred; three sons, Kevin, Barry, and Michael; brother, Gary; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. She dearly loved her grandchildren. A viewing will be from 11 a.m.- noon (PST) Saturday, October 13, with funeral services following at noon, at the LDS Chapel, 916 Fifth St., Boulder City, NV 89005. A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. MST Monday, October 15, at 11 am (MST) at the Ogden City Cemetery in Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Andrew J.
