MADELINE MORRIS Madeline Morris, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully August 11, 2019, in Boulder City. She was 80 years of age. Madeline was born May 8, 1939 in Boulder City, NV to Osborne (Frosty) Traasdahl and Edith Rodeback. Madeline grew up in Boulder City as the second of five children, and graduated from Boulder City High School a tradition that has continued for four generations. Madeline attended Brigham Young University, where she met her husband, Monte J. Morris. Madeline and Monte married in the St. George Temple, and Madeline worked while Monte finished law school at the University of Utah. They moved back to Boulder City and together raised eight children. Madeline was devoted to her family and became well known for homemaking, baking and seamstress skills. Her bread and cinnamon rolls were highly sought after and she had the great skill to replicate any fashionable clothing style without a pattern. After working with her mother, Edie, of Edie's Flowers, she had a talent for creating beautiful flower arrangements and could keep any plant alive. Her greatest accomplishments were as a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Throughout her life, Madeline devoted her time to her family and to church service where she served in Ward and Stake Primary, Young Women and Relief Society for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Madeline and Monte served a Humanitarian Mission in Indonesia in 2000-2001. As Madeline's children, everything good we have become, goes back to what we were taught in our home, from our parents. She was preceded in death by many that she loved, including her parents, Frosty and Edie Traasdahl; and her two brothers, Roger Traasdahl and Michael Traasdahl. Madeline is survived by her husband, Monte J. Morris; children, Kevin (Tammy) Morris, Bruce (Xanne) Morris, Michelle (Stephen) George, Shawn (Leisel) Morris, Steven (Lisa) Morris, Jason (Stephanie) Morris, Heather (Kevin) Stewart and Robert (Tara) Morris; beloved sisters, Kareen (McClain) Bybee and Debra (Mark) Bowman; 40 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 9 - 9:45 a.m. Saturday, August 17, with funeral service at 10 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5th Street Chapel, 916 5th Street, Boulder City, NV 89005. Gravesite interment at Boulder City Cemetery will follow immediately after the services. We express our sincere gratitude to Madeline's many caregivers, for their tender and compassionate care. Sis. Morris was such a wonderful lady. I had her as a teacher in young women's at the LDS Church. Her husband was the bishop at the time. I have great memories of her and her entire family. My heart goes out to her husband, children and grandchildren. She was loved very much and will be missed.

What a beautiful lady, human. My aunt Madeline knew how to make sure everyone was welcome, well loved and well fed. I loved going to visit uncle monte and madeline and that is what I called them because they have always been one name to me. both the best people you will ever meet, real salt of the earth. Love you Aunt Madeline and may you rest in God's peace and light. Diana Morris Brannon

Madeline was such a great mother. As a child, I was a recipient of her kindness which flowed freely from her heart. I remember her smile, though I haven't seen her in years. My heartfelt condolences to my friend, Shawn, to Monte, and all of the children, and grandchildren.
