MARSHALL CUTTING Marshall John Cutting, 71, passed away Jan. 16, 2018 in Boulder City, Nev. Twins Marshall and Marilyn were born 19 minutes apart in Seattle on March 12, 1946 to Harold and Gwen Cutting. Marshall was serving in the U.S. Army at White Sands Missile Range when he met and married Christy Murphy. They moved to Seattle where he earned his degree in building construction at the University of Washington. During his life he became known for his strong and prolific mentorship of his colleagues and friends, and he even attained the title of "International Construction Rockstar." Marshall loved a good cigar, single malt Scotch, hunting and fishing in Alaska, especially with his son, Ron, and when he retired, woodturning. He always kept in close contact with his many friends, who were generally his former co-workers. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece and a nephew. He is survived by his brother, Harold (Mary); his twin, Marilyn; his wife of 48 years, Christy; son, Ron (Melissa), grandchildren Oliver and Luciella; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at The Pavilion at Boulder Creek Golf Club. Please bring a photo to display and leave for the family. Boulder City Family Mortuary performed the services of cremation and has provided an online guestbook for comments for the family. Marshall's ashes will be dispersed in Alaska.
