PHYLLIS LOUISE GOIN Phyllis Louise Goin, the daughter of William Kastning and Hazel Rettke, born on July 6, 1928 in Truman, Minnesota, passed away on August 19, 2020, in Boulder City, Nevada. She was 92. Phyllis graduated from Fairmont High School and moved to Torrance, California where she worked at TRW in the reproduction department for 26 years during the space race of the 1960's. Phyllis was a devoted member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Boulder City. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening and cooking. Phyllis was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul C. Goin, Sr., her parents, and five siblings, Wayne, Bruce, Bob, Marland and Laura Lee Kastning. She is survived by her sister Margaret Bishop of Homeland, California and sister-in-laws, Mary Lloyd (Marland) of Hurricane, Utah and Annie Kastning (Bob) of Minnesota. She is also survived by her six children, Laura Lee Goldsberry of Zapata, Texas, Butch Smith (Debbie) of Boulder City, Terry Smith (Jennifer) of Boulder City, Wanda Gutierrez (Toby) of Escalante, Utah, Cory Smith (Mary) of Henderson, Nevada and Paul C. Goin, Jr. (Charlotte) of Mesquite, Nevada, 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, September 10, 2020. Phyllis loved her family dearly and will be remembered laughing and smiling, wearing her white pearls, always having a joyous spirit and the love of our Lord in her heart. Services will be held Friday, September 11, 2020, 10 AM, at Palm Mortuary, 800 Boulder Hwy, Henderson, NV, 89015.
