Ralph Markowitz Obituary
RALPH MARKOWITZ Ralph Markowitz (August 16, 1925 - October 29, 2017) It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Ralph Markowitz, who was a long-time resident of Boulder City. Born in Lodz, Poland, he was a survivor of the World War 2 Holocaust, where he lost his parents and three sisters following which he immigrated to America in 1948. In 1950 in Brooklyn, New York he married his wife Cynthia (Glickman) and moved to California in 1951. Ralph, now a proud American citizen, worked for Rocketdyne from 1955 until 1981 as a precision machinist and assembler. He retired and moved to Reno, Nevada, and in 1987 moved to Boulder City. A man of many talents, he dabbled in automobile repair, photography, woodworking, and building computers for hobbies. Ralph is survived by his wife Cynthia, two sons Leonard and Michael, their wives Rhonda and Joanne and four grandchildren, Matthew, Jared, Courtney and Gary. A Celebration of Life for friends and family will be on Saturday, December 9 from 3 - 5 p.m. at the Boulder City Senior Center 813 Arizona Street Boulder City, NV 89005.
